CARVEN Fall/Winter 2016

CARVEN Fall/Winter 2016

Welcome to the last Wednesday in September, where the media offers us a bit of the glitz, glam, and flair inside of the New York Fashion Week. That front row chit-chat, endless of camera flashing, hectic backstage, flawless models walking down the runway, and of course those soft, luxurious #imgonnatakeithome clothes from each designers.

Oh but it's not just about the clothes no more. Fashion week is the time for fashion houses to showcase their identity, creates the atmosphere of the collection, and the stage decorations do just that to steal the attention.

Today, we are going to put the spotlight on one of the brilliant mastermind behind the stages that makes designers’ dreams come true and yes, his stage designs makes everyone want to snap a thousand photos and post it on their Instagram.

Drum-rolls to the man of the month, Alexandre de Betak. He is the set designer and creative director of his well-known company, Bureau Betak in Paris, New York, and Shanghai. He started young by creating his first show for designer Sybilla Sorondosince when he was just 19 (what were we doing at that age?

He successfully creates a breathtaking stage for the fashion shows of Dior, Hussein Chalayan, Valentino, Rodarte… and a very long list of other fashion houses. Everyone agrees that his stage interpretation for the fashion houses are beyond and above expectations.
